Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc)

Location: Sacramento & Fair Oaks, CA

Employment Type: Full-Time, W-2

Schedule: 40 hours/week; may include Saturdays

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, California-licensed Acupuncturist (LAc) to join an established Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practice serving the Sacramento and Fair Oaks areas.

The practitioner will primarily be assigned to one clinic based on practice needs, with occasional coverage at other nearby clinic locations. The clinics are approximately 20 minutes apart.

This is an established clinical practice with an existing patient base, administrative support, and extensive Chinese herbal medicine resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments.
• Evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress.
• Utilize Chinese herbal medicine when clinically appropriate.
• Treat a broad range of conditions, including pain, digestive concerns, hormonal conditions, allergies, and other acute and chronic health concerns.
• Provide patient education on acupuncture, TCM, and complementary treatment approaches.
• Build strong, professional relationships with patients.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow applicable professional standards.
• Collaborate with other practitioners in a team-oriented environment.
• Provide coverage at other nearby clinic locations when needed.

Required Qualifications

• Active California Acupuncturist (LAc) license - Required
• Minimum 2 years of acupuncture practice experience - Required
• Chinese herbal medicine experience - Mandatory
• Strong clinical judgment and patient-care skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative clinical environment.
• Professionalism, integrity, and commitment to continued learning.
• Comfortable treating patients of all ages and diverse backgrounds.

New graduates are not being considered. This opportunity is specifically for an experienced practitioner with at least two years of clinical practice experience.

Practice & Patient Volume

• Established multi-specialty, multi-clinic TCM practice.
• Three clinics serving the Sacramento and Fair Oaks areas.
• Primarily assigned to one clinic with occasional coverage at other locations.
• Approximately 1,300 patient visits per month across the clinics.
• Daily patient volume of up to approximately 12 patients per day .
• Patient population includes all ages and diverse backgrounds.
• Common conditions include:
• Pain
• Digestive concerns
• Hormonal conditions
• Allergies
• Acute and chronic health concerns
• Cancer care as a complementary modality

Schedule

• Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
• Schedule may include Saturday coverage
• Specific schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
